“If you feel lost, disappointed, hesitant, or weak, return to yourself, to who you are, here and now and when you get there, you will discover yourself, like a lotus flower in full bloom, even in a muddy pond, beautiful and strong.”
–Masaru Emoto

Turmoil is something you can understand on a very deep level. You have lived long enough to know what turmoil is, perhaps in multiple areas of your life. Or, perhaps, multiple areas of your life have contributed to one great tumultuous experience. Whatever the case, you are no stranger to loss, disappointment, hesitation, or weakness. Or all of the above, all at the same time.

The challenging part is that despite your experience during your turmoil, life does not pause. There is no point of rest. Life goes on. And as such, you are left with little choice but to go on with it. And how do you that in spite of the loss, disappointment, hesitation, or weakness?

You look within. Within you lies the power to create the reality you desire. Within you lies everything you could ever need or want to thrive in any situation. Within you lies the ability to create the conditions for your success. The caveat is that you must be willing to look; you must be willing to dig; you must be willing to learn; you must be willing to accept; and then you must be willing to do.

The journey you have to make, then, is not one focused on navigating through life, but rather understanding, accepting, and wielding the power that you own. You are your own savior. This is the purpose of mindful practice. The turmoil you face outside of yourself is naught more than an opportunity to look within and discover your true self and the power you hold.

So look within. Do the work to come to terms with your inner strength, with your creative power, and with the responsibility it all entails. And then go forth and create the life you’ve always wanted.

Get moving.
Keep moving.
