Great things never come from comfort zones.
Comfort zones are great. If you don’t want to go anywhere. Your couch is comfortable. Your bed is comfortable. Home is comfortable. Let’s talk about learning: what you already know is comfortable. Let’s talk about movement: what you can already do is comfortable.
Growth doesn’t happen in comfort zones, though. If you want to travel, it means you have to leave your house. If you want to expand your knowledge, it means you have to dive into unfamiliar territory and deal with confusion and misunderstanding. If you want to become stronger, faster, leaner, move better, you have to sweat, burn, get to the point of being short of breath.
You have to push yourself into areas that are not comfortable. You have to push yourself into areas that are hard.
So, where is your comfort zone? What does it mean to push yourself beyond that? Find your boundaries and step outside of them. What you will find beyond them may surprise you.
